Sophia believes that our connection to breath is the path to sustainable strength in all pursuits. Her teaching is guided by a desire to help students return to their true nature on the mat for a greater sense of ease and presence off of the mat. To her, yoga, meditation, and breathwork are the ultimate tools to help us see the surrounding world clearly.

Her teaching draws from Ashtanga shapes and alignment-based principles, offering students a practice that is both challenging and grounding. Expect a class that will encourage you to realize your innate ability to find the elusive flow state by anchoring effort and rest in the breath.

Sophia received her 200 hour yoga teacher certification under the experienced teaching of Boston-based teachers Amy Leydon and Todd Skoglund. She is honored to have had the opportunity to study in workshops with some of the world’s foremost teachers, including Renee LeBlanc, Krista Cahill, and Ana Forrest. Her approach to all movement is deeply informed by Dr. John Douillard’s Ayurvedic-based principles for exercise performance.
